Every time a single item is purchased from a self check-out register, an unnecessarily long paper-based receipt is printed which has a lifespan of about five seconds....just long enough to scan it at the gate and make it to the nearest bin. Based on preliminary market research, receipts generated during shopping produce enormous paper waste, leading to significant sustainability concerns. From a user-perspective, most customers cannot get a clear, detailed digital overview of their purchases easily. Furthermore, we have identified market gaps concerning the ability to connect with third-party financial services to share, coordinate, and organise receipts.

The solution is to digitalize receipts in a centralized app to manage your expensive in a comprehensive way. We seek to provide a service that integrates with retailer/banking systems to automatically send the digital receipt to your phone. This way effective organisation, analysis, and management all your receipts is possible in one place without a single piece of paper involved. This will be done through additional integration with third-party financial services. Moreover, this solution poses to provide personalised insights into expense patterns and buying behaviour for users whilst still ensuring complete privacy. Finally, we also envision use-cases in corporate settings to streamline expense declaration and accounting communication.
