Inspire

Living abroad and independently is an experience that shapes and tests a lot of students in any university. We truly learn the definition of personal development and how important it is. We realize that with good self-improvement we live a more positive lifestyle, and that makes our study life far more gratifying. However, before we improve, we go through self-doubt, we face emotional frustrations, we feel insecure, and we feel overwhelmed and challenged. The problem is that when we are so independent, we don't generally share our feelings and talk about the phases we go through. Finally, feeling overwhelmed and frustrated does not help with our studies whatsoever.

'Inspire' is an application or a social media platform that I would like to create in order to solve this problem. The app will provide students with the most highly-rated links to ted talks, podcasts, articles... that will discuss topics that students have trouble with, such as building confidence, increasing motivation, or even discussing the limits to overthinking. And the list goes on, depending on students’ requests. In addition, not only will students read and watch links that will be very beneficial to them, but they can also post their doubts, worries, questions anonymously or not anonymously, and other students could reply to them and support them by giving them advice or motivation. Students can also be seen as friendly role models by posting everyday tips/tricks, advice, and guidance. All in all, the app will be a feel-good place where students can learn from each other and grow together.
