The problem that I would like to address is related to the new students that are coming to study in the Netherlands. I feel that a lot of students would like to receive more information about their new chapter of life before starting their studies. Most of them are struggling finding accommodation, for example, others are not sure what are the steps needed to open a bank account or how to check if a rental contract address is legal or not.
The solution I am thinking of is to make a website that is going to provide the most useful information the new students need before arriving in The Netherlands, such as: how to open a bank account, how to register at the municipality, how to check if a rental contract is legal, when is the right time to start searching for accommodation. A live chat functionality will be also present on the website, so that everyone can ask questions at any time. Furthermore, if there will be positive feedback, I'm thinking to offer the new students the following services: Pick-up from the airport, scheduling of guiding tours in the city they are going to study, moving services from one place to another. Another service would be the possibility to have private online meetings to view a room that they would like to rent (if the students prefer not to travel before starting their studies). We can take care of everything, while the student is abroad, the only thing the students have to do is to pick up the key when arriving in the Netherlands. Our approach is to make students feel like home.
