We propose the UTwise solution, an online Job-fair community that strives to bridge the gap between talents and recruiters. UTwise is a community of students and graduates as well as partner companies who are keen to recruit emerging talents with technical backgrounds. The platform incorporates students and graduates with technical backgrounds in Science, Engineering, IT and Technology. It allows students to fill out their profile, resume, and portfolio whenever they need. Eventually, recruiters are able to reach specific students with their desired skills and competencies directly by taking advantage of the filtering search option that provides search results customized to the skills and competencies required by the employer. This helps companies know beforehand what specific skills and experience a student has before hiring such as what software or programming language the student is proficient in, which subjects he/she has studied or what projects he/she has worked on, and so on by accessing student portfolios. Using UTwise solutions, recruiters will also get the opportunity to post their job, internship, and project vacancies and access thousands of innovators, entrepreneurs, and ambitious students in one platform without the need to go through tedious procedures of career fairs, campus visits, and branding efforts. Eventually saving their time, energy, and money that you could spend in important company works. For students, UTwise serves as a platform where entrepreneurs and go-getters can present their vibrant ideas to innovative companies all year round without the need to wait for annual career events, fairs, or entrepreneurship challenges. Through continuous interaction with companies, students can decide their career way earlier before graduation. We aim to initialize the platform with the University of Twente and Saxion University of Applied Sciences, where students become members of UTwise solution with their student number as soon as they enroll in these institutions. Then, we will extend the platform to also include students from the 4TU (the federation of the four Dutch universities of technology: Delft University of Technology, Eindhoven University of Technology, University of Twente and Wageningen University and Research Centre) thus incorporating a much wider pool of talents and recruiters.
